ETF Launched on Chicago Board Options Exchange

The newly-created iShares S&P 100 Index Fund
began trading on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) on
10/27/2000. The exchange-traded fund (ETF) will be managed by
Barclays Global Investors (BGI) and will trade under the CBOE
symbol OEF. The iShares S&P 100 Index Fund will trade
only on the CBOE, and has an expense ratio of 0.20%.
"The expansion of the exchange-traded funds
market to the CBOE is a testament to the growing popularity of
this product," said Lee Kranefuss, CEO of BGI's Individual
Investor Business.
"The iShares S&P 100 Index Fund offers the ability
to establish long-term investments based on the market performance
of the top 100 companies in the United States, with the ease of
a single transaction," said CBOE Chairman and CEO William
J. Brodsky.
